We at Walpole are devastated that we must announce temporary closure due to the Catastrophic Global Coronavirus Pandemic for the safety of our valued patrons, our dedicated staff and our own family, who live here too.
Our Restaurant, Bars, Snooker Room and Function areas along with our Napery Gallery and Museum closed at 6pm on Friday 20th March as instructed by our Prime Minister and the last of our Guests leave us on Monday 23rd March when the Hotel will close until further notice too.
As our lovely staff group are all on Furlough under the Government Retention Scheme from Monday there will be no-one to answer our telephones for the duration so please do not try to ring us but email to email@example.com and I promise we will attempt to answer you within 24 hours. How long we remain closed will be dependant on Government Advisory Notices but be assured that when all this is over we will re-open just as soon as we are able.
Who would have thought that our 25th Anniversary of “The Bishops at The Walpole” would be celebrated in such a sad way on 24th March.
Thank you all for your continued support and good wishes and we look forward to welcoming you back to Walpole before too long.
We wish you all well. Good Health. Stay Safe. Be Kind to each other.
