- Golf - This area of England is a mecca for golfers of all abilities and The Walpole is an ideal base from which to tour the 20 courses we have within a 40 minute drive. From the home of the 2003 Open at Royal St Georges to open qualifying courses such as Princes, North Foreland and Royal Cinque Ports to the many and varied challenging links courses, Our experienced staff are always on hand and weather it be for individual games or Society matches it will be our pleasure to assist in the organisation of your tour.
- Bowls - With a well established tradition locally for outdoor bowls we are ideally located to experience what the area has to offer. The Walpole is situated opposite the Cliftonville bowls greens and have our own bowls club. We are also within walking distance to the only indoor bowls centre in Thanet.
- Cycling -With the areas 26 miles of coastal pathways and cycles tracks there seems to be endless possibilities for all levels of cyclist. The Hotel is situated 50 metres from the cliff top which is part of the famous Viking Trail
